The Lake Life Metal Maps journey began in 2017 with a desire to connect people to their roots through art. Earth Born Traditions was founded, which initially focused on unique lake map designs showcased at various events nationwide. Our creative spirit soon sought new avenues, leading to a pivotal moment at the 2018 Lake of the Ozarks shootout boat races. The enthusiastic response to our lake maps sparked the idea for larger-scale creations, igniting a passion for pushing creative boundaries.

Not at all! We offer installation services, or for those who prefer a DIY approach, we provide a step-by-step video guide to make the installation process easy and hassle-free. The welded studs on the back of our maps ensure that it isn’t flush with the wall, giving it added flair and enabling you to add your own personal touch like lights or backdrop.
Can lights be added to the back of the lake map?
We do not install lights but there is ¾ inch spacer behind the metal lake map so that you can add lights if you would like.
How durable are metal lake maps?
Metal lake maps are highly durable and resistant to weather, making them perfect for both indoor and outdoor display. They are designed to withstand the elements without fading or rusting over time. Indoor maps typically use one powder coat to keep the front pristine, while maps hung outside are given a double coat, front and back, to prevent weathering.
Do you offer any finishing options for metal lake maps?
Yes, we offer four powder-coated finishes: classic flat black, silver, and our signature candy colors—blue and copper. With the candy colors, we grind the metal, allowing the natural grind marks to show through the blue and copper, giving each lake map a unique, textured character that stands out from the competition.
